The Claas Arion 650 has a 6-cylinder DPS Power-Tech PVS engine with 6.8 litre displacement, it complies with the emission Tier 4i thanks to its diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter and provides a maximum output of 129 kW (175 HP). It is equipped with 4-valve technology, an intercooler and high-pressure common rail injection. Weighing 6820 kg, the gross vehicle weight of 12000 kg, means that the tractor can be loaded with an additional load of 5180 kg. The tractor is 4.82 m long, 3.02 m high and 2.55 m wide. Furthermore, it has a lift capacity of up to 8 tonnes. The Claas Arion 650 can also be equipped with two different cabin interiors. The CIS variant comes with Hexashift powershift gearing, which is characterised by the fact that it offers 24 gears in both forwards and reverse gears, which are operated without using the clutch and has proven especially useful when rapidly changing inserts and drivers. The other variant of the Claas Arion 650 is equipped with a Cebis terminal and various automatic functions, there is the option to add Hexashift powershift gearing or the newly developed Cmatic transmission which ensures a uniform acceleration from 0 50 km/h as well as ensuring smooth and automatic operation in the optimum gear. The Claas Arion 650 can also easily be left on a slope without using the service brake, since it is equipped with standstill control. With the automatic steering system GPS pilot, the driver of the tractor can be assisted by being provided with directions or by making use of Claas' fully automatic steering. Also the Claas tractor provides a good view of attachments by means of a rotating seat and the curved rear window. Thanks to the 5-pole cabins concept, the Claas Arion 650 continues to be characterised by the fact that there is plenty of space in the cabin. A 4-point cab suspension prevents shocks and vibrations from being transmitted to the driver.
