The Claas Arion 640 CIS is a four-wheel drive tractor with an engine power of 129 kW (175 hp). The 6-cylinder John Deere engine has a displacment of 6,688 cm3 and uses an electric common rail injection and 4 valve technology. The driver has a choice of 24 forward and 24 reverse gears, and there are also two creep gears that are ideal for vegetable harvesting, for example. The built-in HEXASHIFT gearbox with HEXACTIV shifts makes the Claas Arion 640 CIS a user-friendly and efficent tractor. The unladen weight of the Claas Arion 640 CIS is about 6820 kg and the maximum permitted total weight is 11 t which means that it can carry a payload of 4180 kg. The working hyrdraulics achieve 110 l/min and operate at a pressure of up to 200 bar maximum. The Claas Arion 640 CIS is also easy and comfortable to use because the driver's cabin has air conditing and a cooling compartment, an adjustable steering column, an air suspension seat and an adjustable, multi-function arm rest. All models in the 650 to 530 range have the option of either a CIS cabin fitting, or the CEBIS alternative. The CIS version is designed for frequently changing applications, for use on mixed farms, for example. The CEBIS cabin option, on the other hand, has many automatic functions and is equipped with the CMOTION multifunction lever. All of the controls are integrated in the right-hand arm rest, which makes this cabin ideal for longer-term deployment on the same task.
