Used Slurry tankers
Slurry tankers and different filling technologies
Pump tankers are equipped with either an eccentric screw pump or a rotary lobe pump, which pump the slurry into the tanker and, when necessary, discharge it onto the field. Vacuum tankers, as their name suggests, work by filling the tank using vacuum. The vacuum is created with a compressor and pulls the slurry into the tanker. To empty the slurry, an overpressure is created, causing the slurry to be discharged from the tanker under pressure.
Slurry spreader vehicles on the agricultural engineering market
Pump and vacuum tankers for manure spreading are available in three different variants: as single axle, tandem, and tridem. In the compact single axle slurry pump tanker, the slurry is sucked up with a pump and piped to a three-way valve, which is located on the rear. The slurry tank is filled quickly and most vacuum tanks can hold up to 10,000 liters. Tandem slurry tankers are especially well suited to longer transport routes and larger agricultural companies. Some tandem slurry tankers have a volume up to 19,500 liters. Tridem slurry trailers are large volume slurry tankers that are specialized to fulfill the demands of modern agriculture. They can have a capacity from 20,000 to 27,000 liters. Slurry tankers are manufactured by many well-known agricultural technology brands and can be found on tractorpool, for example Kotte slurry tankers, Fliegl slurry tankers, or BSA slurry tankers.
Trailing hose and trailing shoe distributors
The most common and modern slurry trailers feature a forced steering system. Here too, the agrotechnology industry makes driving safety a high priority. The electronic forced steering system provides increased driving comfort. Manure spreading must be done in accordance with fertilizer regulations. Therefore, modern slurry tanker technology features tankers with a variety of application methods that can be deployed as needed. Distribution technologies can be classified into wide area or precision spreaders. As a wide area spreader, the impact head spreader distributes slurry over a working area up to 18 m (pump tanker) or 12 m (vacuum tanker). The pendulum, or swivel, spreader distributes manure with a high distribution accuracy through the motion of a pendulum. Using a three or four point linkage, farmers or large companies can attach an applicator as a trailer. Using the applicator, the slurry can be discharged and spread optimally over the field. The active width depends on the applicator used. Hose applicators are available with up to 27 m in coverage. For example, the different precision distributors can be used as follows. The trailing hose applicator is especially advantageous, first because smells are suppressed and second because nitrogen losses are minimized. The trailing shoe distributor works differently. The slurry is spread by the trailing shoe directly onto the ground, which allows the plants to absorb the nutrients faster. Slurry distribution can also be performed with a slurry cultivator and a disc injector.
